If you are coming to ADIPEC and thinking of doing business here, its good to know in advance that you will be required to set up a business license here. Depending upon the nature of your business, the business activities you opt for on your license may require you to have a local sponsor.
If you want to work directly with the ADNOC you will also need to get approval from the Supreme Petroleum Council, now merged into the Supreme Council for Financial & Economic Affairs, which has responsibility for petroleum and natural resources.
Employees working in Abu Dhabi will be required to have residence visas.
Employees needing to work at locations which are designated as critical national infrastructure, will need CICPA security permits. Before these can be applied for, your company will need to get CICPA registration.
