UAE Free Zone Visa Validity Reduced To Two Years

It has been announced by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) that the validity of free zone visas has been reduced from three years to two.
With immediate effect, it is no longer possible to process three year visas. Notifications from the various free zone authorities across the UAE state that any visa applications currently under process will automatically be converted to two years. This important update is applicable to all visa-types in the free zones: new visas, visa renewals and visa transfers.
For those individuals who have an existing three-year visa or their visa processing was completed prior to the announcement, the validity will remain unchanged; but when that visa is renewed in the future, the validity will only be for two years.
New UAE Residence Visas and Entry Visas come into effect
The announcement of the change to the free zone visas coincides with the UAE's new residence visa, tourist visa and entry visa options coming into effect on 3rd October 2022.
