UAE Free Zone Visa Validity: Two Years

The validity of free zone visas was reduced from three years to two by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) in October 2022.
The change was applicable to all free zone visa-types: new visas, visa renewals and visa transfers. With immediate effect, it was no longer possible to process three year visas. Free zone visa applications that were under process at the time of the announcement were automatically converted to two year visas.
For individuals who already had a three-year free zone visa, or their visa processing was completed prior to the announcement, the validity remained unchanged. However, when that visa is renewed it's validity will be for two years.
