To help plan your business trips to Abu Dhabi and Dubai during 2021, please find below a list of the anticipated public holidays for your convenience. This should be used as a guide because Islamic holidays are subject to the moon sightings. It is common for the exact dates of public holidays to be confirmed by the government a few days prior, so check the local media around the following dates for confirmation.
School holidays for the remainder of the current academic year are also listed below for your convenience.

Arafat Day & Eid Al Adha Monday 19th July 2021 (3 days)
Hijri New Year Tuesday 10th August 2021

National Day Thursday 2nd December (2 days)
* Ramadan is not a Public Holiday, but a Holy month of prayer and fasting. Working hours during the month of Ramadan are reduced by two hours per day for everyone in the UAE.
School Holidays 2021
Spring Term begins 3rd January 2021
Spring Holiday 28th March 2021 - 8th April 2021
Summer Holiday begins 3rd July 2021
Please note the above school holidays apply to public and private schools which follow the Ministry of Education curriculum. Indian, Pakistani and Japanese schools have a different schedule following an academic year from April to March.
